The Donostialdea region is a very populated region and is made up of many municipalities; such as Donostia, Usurbil, Lasarte, Andonain, Astigarraga, Hernani, Urnieta and others that we have included as Oarsoaldea in another publication. Like other coastal regions, it is home to a large number of unique natural spaces throughout the Cantabrian coast and Europe. This territory is known mainly for its industries and gastronomy, in addition to being the nerve centre of the province of Gipuzkoa. However, its treasures go further and we can find natural spaces of great cultural and natural importance. This is why some of these places are listed under some category of protected natural spaces, in order to guarantee their conservation. Perhaps Mount Ulia or Aiako Harria sound familiar to you, however these are only two of the eight protected natural spaces in this region. Here you will find a list of the natural spaces that are part of this region. Click each one to find out more.

1. Ría del Oria
2. Leizaran River
3. Urumea River
4. Hernani’s Ginko
5. Beriyo’s Holm Oak
6. Igara’s Oak
7. Aiako Harria
8. Ulia
